Whether you're a new family of three, recently added a new member or are simply savoring this amazing time in your family's life - any time is a perfect one for a portrait session. As the expression goes, "the days are long, but the years short". Time goes by so quickly and it's essential that families capture these beautiful moments before they're gone. Many families even opt for multiple photo shoots a year!
Sessions take place on location, in a special spot where your family can be comfortable and have fun - think a favorite park, field, backyard, beach or anywhere you just love to be. Add in some favorite clothes, a special prop or two, and maybe even the family pet, and you've got a great session - and amazing pictures that you will love forever.

With the recent explosion of the digital camera market, and even smart phones that take amazing photos, why should you go with a professional photographer?
A smart camera does not always make a smart photographer. Just because your friend, co-worker, or relative may have a high-speed, high-quality digital camera, does not mean he/she will automatically be an amazing photographer. Low light, nighttime and even high speed action shots can be tricky for the amateur shutterbug. But shooting in all kinds of conditions has given us the know how to capture every moment.

THE PROCESS
Pre-Consultation: This is definitely one of the most fun parts of the process. Check out Pinterest for inspiration on location, poses, props and general style. Start thinking about your personal style and what you are looking for in your session.
Consultation: Ask questions. Look through our portfolio and figure out what approach you'd like to see in your session and final images. If you've found great inspiration, bring prints or screen shots along!
We will discuss how you intend to use the images - "save the dates", Christmas cards, invites, artwork, framing, etc. - and help you refine the message that you are looking to convey with your session. After we determine a location, we'll confirm a date and time. Based on that information, we can help you finalize apparel, props and poses.
The Shoot: The day is finally here! Have fun and relax! Our job is to make you look your best in the final images - we've got that covered. Your job now is to just have fun!
