Keegan Shoot

It has been fun photographing Lakehill Prep Junior Keegan on the football field for the Varsity Football team and on the stage in several of the school's theater productions. So it was nice getting a chance to have a photoshoot that focused on where Keegan is right now on his journey this benchmark year for him.

We chose a couple of locations for the shoot - Deep Ellum for a casual, gritty background and in front of the Opera House for a bit more refined look. Deep Ellum is a popular choice of location for many of our Senior shoots. And the Opera House and Wiley Theater served as a nice reference to Keegan's interest in drama.

To say that Keegan is a natural in front of the camera would be an understatement. But definitely not a surprise. He is so at ease on the stage, it makes sense that he would be comfortable sitting for these shots. He definitely made our job easier.

And our hope is always that we are able to capture the true personality of whomever we are photographing. That friends or family look at the pictures and recognize that sly smile or certain look. And that the images appear natural - familiar and not forced. For us, Keegan in this session, epitomized all of those qualities.
